I have a client that wants to do on-Site and off-Site SEO for his English website (Which is still under development) so that the website turns up in the Arabic SERPs. The competition in the Arabic SERPs is very low.

What little experience I have in SEO is to do everything in either language.

Is what my client wants to do possible?

    Thanks in advance guys!

Could you be a bit more specific? How do you configure this translation tool? Do you have configured in such a way that the crawlers crawl the translation instead of the website perhaps?

I don't have a specific method. I just know from experience that I have used this plug on several sites and where I should have got 500 indexed pages I get 6000. Depends on the languages you select but I definitely get indexed in Arabic etc

Is this still valid after Penguin though?

Setting meta content like language and location is fine, it's not kw stuffing or anything; in fact it's good practice to tell google what language the website it is instead of them figuring out via their translation tools.
