So my site got the thin affiliate site penalty. I am not sure it really has it but thing I lost all rankings and it has passed five days and it does not back. I am thinking of doing a full 301 redirect to a new domain. Does the new domain will get the penalty too or just the link juice?

This is amazing, no response for this. Is this the first time anyone had this idea?

I am not sure whether I did the correct question here? I just want to know if knows whether redirecting a penalized site to a new domain using the 301 will pass the penalization to the new site.

Well, for start, I'd say, 5 days is not really a measure for anything.
Then, you might even work up your site a bit, then see if you can get reconsideration request processed.

301 from a penalized domain doesn't exactly sound like something that could work, don't you think?

I do not really know whether it will work, but I am thinking about people visiting the old site. Also, I read a post at BHW of people claiming they do this when their sites get penalized. However, those posts are old and things have changed.

I tried this, 301d to a new domain. The new domain suddenly ranked in place of where the old one was before penalty.

    Things looked great.

After about 10 days however, the new site got the same penalty.

Did your site receive a manual penalty or algorithmic penalty?

Perhaps your site got Penalized again because you did not change anything to remove that penalty so it could be caught by an algoritmic penalty again. Besides, if the 301 redirection would pass the older site penalty. I just can imagine how easy would be knocking down competitors by pointing penalized sites to them.

agree with that, even after the google penguin, i found that a lot of sites ranking high through spamming were penalized, but when they redirect the punished site to a new domain, the new site seems to take the place of the slapped site!!!! but how long the new site could stay on the place is not clear! i have seen a crazy one is , site1 301 to site2, then site2 301 to site3, site3 301 to site 4, site4 then 301 to site5 !!!! i don't know how far exactly that could still work, if any of you guys have a clue on that please illuminate me on that! thanks

The new site will be penalized if you 301 the old site to the new one. Start fresh, forget the old one.

See if you can get a slightly aged domain- pr1 or 2 and redirect it to your old site and work on building up your generic keywords and you may be able to pull your site out of the sandbox.
