Does Youtube penalize for dupe videos?

I have a bunch of videos to upload, mostly unique but some are duplicates of videos already on YT.

My problem is, I don't know which ones are the dupes.

So if I just upload them all, will YT instantly tell me which ones are dupes? And will it penalize me for this, giving a strike against my account? Or does it not care less?

    HI there:)
So i can speak from experience here -

If you upload dupe ones you will possibly get in trouble.
I uploaded lots of dupes on my account and was then getting views.! I was chuffed:D
Then along came the original owners, and what they do is flag your video.
If they can then prove that your video is a copy of theirs ( YT checkts their channel and dates and times of upload ) then the video will be taken down, and you will be given a strike.
    3 strikes and youre out!
BAM! I got knocked out :/

But if you play your cards right, and do not use the exact same tags / wording etc of the original and if the OP does not find the video, then you will be alright:)

It will not tell you if it is a dupe unless it is owned by a big company, or producing company etc.

Thanks, I'm not worried about getting found out. For complicated reasons, I know that nobody will make a claim to copyright.

I just assumed that YT ran some kind of CRC checker or something and instantly prevented publication if a dupe was detected on the fly??
