So you were correct.

I set the display to turn off after 15 minutes of inactivity on 2 lap tops. But it seems when I connect with Anydesk to any of the lap tops, the display turns on.

So I'm gonna lower it to 10 minutes. No need for more. And no need for less, in case I ever need to get on the lap tops themselves to do anything real quick.

No effect on performance whether you turn it off or on
But you will save electricity if you turned to shut off display while all other components are running if you are not working on it.
I had used a separate multi plug for led display connected to my desktop.
I turn it off at nights while my pc keeps running all day night 24x7.
I just switch on multi plug whenver I work on pc
