I used them a few years ago. Concept is good but the templates and databases are often in need of some major TLC.
Someone on BHW has given links to similar scripts to dot*com*builder. They're just as good. You may want to conduct a search for them.
It really depends upon what you're going to do with them and how you're going to market them. For offline marketing they're excellent. Much more effective and easier to run than portals.
I had some success with garagesales script (I still have quite a few $97/mo maintenance agreements in place) but it needed a major overhaul because it looked good in IE but not Firefox. Most of the problems with DCB is in the database. They basically took one database and repurposed it for other ideas.
