So for the past 8 days now I have average about 35 hops a day, pretty much all those hops are for a single product. I have not had a sale yet, and in this period I have only had 1 or 2 order form impressions. I'm not sure what to think, this product I'm targeting I actually sold 1 copy of back early this year so I know it can sell. I just started getting decent traffic to this webpage as I'm getting traffic all from ranking related keywords in Google(which just started ranking on page 1), so the traffic should be pretty well targeted when it reaches my landing page.

I'm pretty knew to CB, so any words of advice from any CB experts out there?

what is gravity of the product u r promoting?
actually it depends upon many factors...
r u preselling? i mean using landing page?
or direct linking preselling is one of the most important factor for getting sales...

Check out some other similar products in your niche and try using them for a day or so with the same traffic.
Do this for few products and then choose the one which converts the best for you.

CB can be pretty hit or miss. I had one product I literally sent thousands of hops to and no sales. It was one being promoted by a 'guru' at the time, in a well known eBook.

Without seeing your site, it's hard to say if it's an issue with the product, how well your copy is written, or a combination of both.

Best advise I can give for CB is to test lots of niches and products, then stick with the few that convert. I had no success with it early on, but then found a few good ones and focused on those.

To put in perspective, I ranked #1 for the Diet Solution for a while and had great sales copy, yet still only managed mediocre sales. I'm sure with a big email list this product could have done better. Diet products tend to need a lot of traffic to make decent sales, and the product terms for a lot of CB offers don't have enough volume SEO wise to do much damage.

In another case I simply put a banner on the side of an Adsense site for another product and got almost the same amount of sales with less traffic. And this was for a pretty unknown product. So again, you really have to test, and don't assume the bigger products will always sell more.

It has a lot to do with content thats for sure. Also collecting a list seems to be the best bet to sell them whatever they were looking for.
