You need to optimize your page for ads. For example making it fit into your site with proper colors, but making the links a bit lighter. Proper placement, such as links in the navbar, square link blocks within the content(if text).

There's a huge difference in CTR based on how well your traffic is targeted, where your ads are placed, whether you answer questions or leave them unanswered, and the general niche of your site.

I've got one that got 43 clicks on 27K impressions and another that got 42 clicks on 2.4K impressions - a difference factor of 10x roughly.

I'm still trying to figure out how to properly monetize the bigger one of the two, constantly trying different CPA offers, ad placement, sizes, etc. Test, test, test.

Google standard is 1%-3% for adsense and you doing more then 2%. You can improve it by playing with placement, color, font...... Just keep experimenting until you get better result.

I have sites where CTR is 2%-3% then few are getting 7%-8% and one getting 20%+. It also depends upon traffic type. Some industry or buying keywords will always attract more clicks then normal ones.

I don't mean the clicks on the ads on my website I'm refferung to the click through rate on google (I.e-how many click get on google.com)
