    Hey guys
Just a question in regards to ranking a keyword on the youtube search algorithm.

On the video settings, i am trying to put the most popular search words as the first few keywords for my video.

Does the order of my keywords even matter. If i have like 10 different keywords for my video, does the specific order even matter or as long as the keyword is there, it is the same as if i put that specific keyword first on the list?

For example, lets say if the most popular keyword would be "minecraft guide" and i have like 10 other keywords as well. If "minecraft guide" is the first keyword i type or even if its the last one that i type (10 others are typed before it), and someone searches "minecraft guide", does the keyword order matter in terms of youtube ranking? hypothetically speaking, lets just say the video is going to blow up so it will be ranked on at least the first few pages for some specific keyboards.

Hopefully my question make sense, any advice/tips are appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Good to hear you have figured it out and glad to hear that you haven't figured out how to delete this thread so that i can post on it. To be on the safe side i just place the most popular search words as the first keywords for my videos, it works for me.

yes it does matter. YT takes the order into account.

to test you can move KWs around and see how you move around in rankings from day to day.
I tested this for months on a daily basis when I was doing heavy YT marketing and put your most important KWs first

also more kws you put more dense they get unless they are laser targeted capiche

Thanks for the reply! by the way... what do you mean by ~ the more keywords you put, the more dense they get? should i just limit the total amount of keywords i put to only the really important one or can i ramble with keywords that are "fluff" if you know what i mean.. Hopefully this makes sense. Thanks in advance!!!!

I think what he's trying to say is unless you have a proven method of getting to the top of certain keywords then don't place too many

Especially if you're going to be making your Channel a long-term and professional project. Keyword stuffing in descriptions just look noobish and none of the big YT'ers do it. It's a desperate measure that people think will work.

Yes it actually matters. Even though there is no official statement from youtube about this that I am aware of. Some things are just the way they are.
