    Hi,

I'd like to ask you guys for some advice.

lets say I would like to rank for the term "Fulltime Junior PHP jobs"

What kind of URL structure is most likely to rank better?

    1. site.com/jobs/php/Junior/fulltime
    2. site.com/jobs/php/Fulltime-junior-php
    3. site.com/jobs/php/Fulltime-junior-php-jobs
    4. site.com/jobs/php/Fulltime-junior-php

I'd say option 3 because it contains the exact matches of the search query. What do you guys think? Option 3 does contain dupliate keywords and is longer than the other urls.

I would personally go for site:com/jobs/php/fulltime-junior OR site:com/Fulltime-Junior-PHP-jobs

Just my Opinion though. Remember its just a URL structure, You need Optimized Title, Description and Content too to rank as far as On page is concerned.

@J-S-T So you would drop the categorisation of /jobs/php/ in your 2nd example? Isnt it so that Google likes taxomization/organisation in the url structures and that it is not good to place all urls on the first level (straight behind the domain, site.com/example)

I'd say these 2 would be the best, but i cant choose wich one.

The Url: site:com/jobs/php/fulltime-junior look more cleaner, is shorter and does not contain dupliates. But it does not contain a exact match with the keyword "Fulltime Junior PHP jobs", atleast not in that order.

The Url: site:com/jobs/php/Fulltime-Junior-PHP-jobs Is longer, contains duplicates but haves a exact match and is better readable

First option i Suggested is for if you want a short URL. All 4 words in your Keyword comes in the URL but not in order. Second suggestion is for just in case you want to Create a Page and can have that kind of URL Structure.

Just Go with what your Gut Feeling says and Optimize your main Content Accordingly.

After reading the 4 options that you mentioned here, I'd say to go with the option 3. Not only URL optimization helps you to rank but also you can do other things. Focus on those with much care and rank well.
