Hey guys, I'm fairly new to SEO and the company I'm working for wants to try to get up in their rankings. We currently bring most of our money from ppc but as everyone knows SEO is more profitable. The website currently has a landing page thats a subdomain (website [slash] landing page) that they want to target that is static and doesn't get updated at all. There is also a blog that is on a different subdomain (website [slash] blog) that gets updated fairly frequently.

Does the landing page itself need to be updated regularly, or will the blog do the job of letting google think the site is updated regularly? The company doesnt want to have any updates on the landing page because they designed it to look exactly how it is now and wants to keep it that way.
