I just read on this section "The psychology of a landing page"
which is one of those posts that inspires you to come up with lots of ideas

And now I wonder if colors really matter on a landing page or have I read
just one post too many?

It does and not only on landing page, go and chek by yourself you will see put a brown landing page and then switch to blue or green I'm sure you will make more sale.

Yes absolutely, the better visually pleasing your landing page, the better chances you have at conversions. Only way to find out is by split testing. Don't change any other variable besides the color of the page, find one that converts the highest. Simple as that.

Of couse it matters, What colors strike the most to people to click? What color makes people attract to a certain area? Visit those watch movies online sites and see what 'pops out' at you.

There are so many variables and color is just one. If you want to know which colors work best, test different approaches. As shortgigs mentioned, look at other sites, see what pops out, what you notice. The more content on a page the more advertisers have to work to get your attention...

Yes, its important to pick the right colour combinations and graphics to make your page content easier to follow.

Thanks guys for voicing your opinion and for those cool links you provide too
I'll try to stay away from brown while sketching my Landing Page

HOW it is here in Europe? We dont have traditional GREEN dollars papers. We have green, pink, brown etc...

You heard yellow, I did read the orange one on "buy/add to cart/get this" button.

When it comes to conversion (obviously the most crucial element in your sales equation), everything matters: colors, layout, fonts, the images you choose, the words that you use or don't use in your header titles, your order buttons, the location of your call to action and even the width of your textual sales page content.

Yet, everything should be calculated and tested ACCORDING to your target audience.

For example: different main theme colors should be used if your target customer is a guy looking to perform better in bed, than if your potential customer is a Jewish Orthodox looking for Kosher flights to Jerusalem.

Either way, the basic rule of thumb is to test everything and use no more than 3 main (and matching) colors on your sales page.

Hope this helps,
Mike.

May somebody advice which colour suitable for realtors agent? Maybe need hear somebody though meanwhile I'm just making my website customise

Yes it does matter. Because some people/consumers think that red is something that's not good. To help you out, I suggest that you try, Crazyegg. It helps you analyze your landing page and where people usually click.

Ryan Deiss did experiments that proved Robin's Egg Blue converted the best. But Blue is a sign of honesty and brown is a sign of power/dependability

A lot of landing pages use blue, we do as well. There was an article I read about how different colors convey different things and I think blue was honesty.

I also learned in college (years ago) that blue was the most pleasing color to the brain.
