Does search usually lower on christmas eve / day ?

    I seen significant traffic drop today 25% drop.. Does search usually lower on christmas eve / day?

    I think it's niche dependent. For example I've seen a surge in search traffic today for a porn site I run, but drops in some others. Go figure.

    I think you have a point. My niche is about some fake/stupid cpa stuff. Looks like people don't have time to search for this stuff on this season.

    Or some other factors of course.

    here's my traffic stat. Do you think I was penalized?

    Don't worry about the blue drop line ziplack the hour just started.... It's live update per hour.. My site is still indexed though

    i would claim that most niches lose traffic yesterday / today. Country and niche dependant ofcourse but still.

    It highly depends on your niche. The general rule is that during Holidays, people tend to spend more time with their family. You can safely assume that people will be less likely to be on their computer surfing the web.

    In my experience 24, 25 and 31 are very calm traffic days. People attend to other matters. However, 26 to 30 of December more than makes up for that.

    Yes. It's very common to see a decrease in traffic around the holidays. So you better have saved up for this week in previous months.

    people stop looking online because they know they won't get it before christmas/have no money for anything else. I sell on ebay and sales literally halved as soon as the postage deadline passed for xmas
