Does Phastpress actually hurt SEO?

Hey BHW fam...

I see the caching plugin Phastpress often mentioned here.

It does speed up my sites.

But I wonder if it also does harm.

For example, it changes the name of an image from something like:

"keyword-phrase.jpg" (optimized for SEO)

... to something like:

"phast.php/hYUhew58800fgjHGGHhhdyd7y949hruy89shdjkhdsiy78.jpg" (NOT optimized for SEO).

What do you think?

Do you use any ALT tags for your images? That is the parameter used for SEO.
 
I'm not sure if the file name matters, alt tags are what matters from seo purpose. Correct me if I'm wrong

learning about phastpress from @Nargil was one of the best thing that has come to me while on BHW.

no - phastpress does not hurt ranking. it has greatly helped me in speed side while working in parallel with wp-rocket.

It makes sense the name of the image matters.

The same goes for page names and slugs. For example: site.com/keyword-phrase

Take two images for example.

Image 1 name: dog-training-tips.jpg

Image 2 name: best-golf-clubs.jpg

What term do you think each image above would have better chances ranking for?

And yes, I also use alt tags.

alt tag includes only few words or a brief description of that images ??
