Perhaps someone could clear up my understanding of how link juice works in this scenario(s).

    Scenario one
10 Authority links to money website homepage

    Scenario two
10 Authority links to a buffer websites homepage with only one outbound link, which is on the homepage going to money website homepage

Is there an equal amount of link juice passed to the money website in these two scenarios or does the buffer website keep some of it? If so do we know approximately how much?

is your buffer an authority site? if you think you have made quality buffers with unique content and and proper on-page seo then yeah it will have the same effect.

The buffer website method works best for most of my clients.. we tried with some auth. links directly to the money site, that made them not rank better.. will be following this thread to see other comments.

From what I understand, buffer would keep some of it. Take a look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Filv4pP-1nw
If info from video is true then you would lose 15-20% of link juice for every link pointed at buffer. I think. :)

Thanks for that find mate, think that pretty much answers my question as long as they haven't changed it in the last 2 years. Seems to be something like...

(PR * 0.85) / outgoing links on page
