    Long story short:

After a couple of good years in content writing for various global agencies, I recently decided to go back to the day job.

Not a financially motivated decision, but would you believe I missed the routine, discipline, comaradarie, human interaction and often the politics of working for a corporate.

I guess IM isn't everyone's cup of tea, after all.

Anyone else here ever feel this way about the "laptop lifestyle"?

It can be lonely at the start, but once you start making income you can go out and enjoy not having to wake up at 7 to drive to work for 8 hours.

I'm a freelancer and the one thing I miss is being part of a team and making friends and being around other people. I've done what you've done and the last time I did it, I really enjoyed my time. Normally, I hate my job but the last one was awesome with a great team. I miss them a lot.

I love my freedom, but never having a conversation with people other than clients is suffocating. But I can't be tied to a desk from 9-5pm every day either, so just like anything else, good things come with some bad things too.
