Hello everyone!

My first website.
I was testing a php script and it requires referral so I use hidemyass.
So does it hurt my website like in SERP or google penalty?

Though I am not trying to rank it for now.
And advice?

I presume you mean the referral agent of users coming to your website? Or...?

I don't really understand what are you talking about. Using HMA VPN for referral is not the smartest thing to be done but to affect your site, I don't really get it. Please explain a bit more and when you ask a question add all your unknown things - don't just ask - will a meteorite fall on Earth ?:)

I mean. The php script needs referrals like when someone visits my site, the script gave them a unique referral code therefore they need to refer 5 people(using the unique referral code) before the downloads unlock. So to test it, I use the hidemyass proxy with different IP's.

I can't possibly imagine how testing a script on your site (related to tracking users/referrers) can hurt your SERPs.. unless it appears to be a hacked or malicious site.
Other than that, I think you're all good.

No matter how powerful you think Google is, they cant see the IP you use to post a link! Unless you posted it to one of their properties that is.
