Does having a domin name exactly related to your niche help with google ranking?

    Just wondering if this helps with ranking your site on seach engines for SEO, example, lets say I wanted to offer free money making guides would a domain like freemoneymakingguides.net be alot better than something like moneyzone.net

    If you can get an exact match then it's good but not essential anymore, you're just best getting a domain with one or two of the words you're targeting in (money, making etc), adding the url like panther28 says, and then having relevant content and relevant articles/web 2.0s pointing towards your site,

    Also ,does google rank .com domains higher then the likes of .info or .biz ?

    EMD or partial EMD still matter and are important. And yes, Google does prefer to rank higher domains like com, net and org.

    Giggle will rank you higher if it deems your content relevant to whatever search query done by an user.

    So yes, if you have a domain name that closely matches your keyword that's gonna help IF you have actual good relevant content and strong backlinks. Otherwise these days it seems that penalties are being given to spammy EMD's. YMMV.
