Does Google recognize automated Twitter behavior?

    Hi,

    Yesterday, I came across someone who told me "Now Google is able to detect automated Twitter behavior and penalises you for it...". I was like... well, no more TweetDemon or software that tweets from RSS, but I don't see the point...

    I can't find anything on this and can't link my automated Twitter activity to bad SEO results. Also, I don't see how my Twitter profiles rank worse than other "non automated" profiles. What's your opinion?

    It does, indeed. But you know... some kinda SEO guru shows up and tells that to your client, in front of you, totally convinced. So I decided not to argue, but it really annoys me.
