Hey guys.. I have started a new micro niche blog and instead of posting unique content now, I am thinking of copying content from other websites, but before starting to do that I would like to know if Google really gives a damn about content?

I have had webpages rank #1 that the only content on the page was the keyword in an H1 tag....its rare but its happen

Additionally I have had blogs on some EDU domains that have consistenly ranked #1 on straight out copied content from other websites...outranking the original source.

So while in general I will say that content does matter, it really depends more on your competition and on the authoritative power of your domain.

I have a test autoblog, all 100% copy content, 0 backlinks, around 10k pages indexed.

It ranks with no problem for long tail.
