Can I get away with FedEx mailbox addresses, or "virtual addresses" for my Google Places address?

And if not what is my best bet and what are Google's requirements?

Nope...your best bet is to 'create' a new business and let Google find it on its own.
Set up a free account on yellowpages.com and other major directories. Load up Scrapebox and blast out to autoreply sites with the EXACT business name, address, and phone number... get profiles set up on directory sites and then blast them with more autoapprove blogs using the exact info.
It might take weeks, might take more than a month. But Google should eventually recognize it as a business and might let you verify by phone. There are a few good ebooks on this if you search the download section

Can I simply change addresses to a new physical one and make Google happy? This is a client and he's used both a mailbox and a "virtual" address in the past year.

What would you do in this case? Thx btw.

    hi,
every major city has mailbox or "vitual office" addresses for legitimate business.
I have opened several google places accounts using these and never had a problem.

Google does not like FEDex/UPS type mailboxes. It can recognise these.

But your safe with a virtual office setup.

    just google it .lol. ;)

u can use home address or what ever u like

google check the address in other way

nice way to go is pay kadzo or any other cheap local listing directory that do the google for u, than do "claim your biz" when it pop-up @ google

it will help u avoid a lot of security checks google do and it will be as fast as few days

if u add website to the local listing make sure you this address some where in the site!!!

    I like that idea, thx!

So it sounds like I can let them roll with the virtual address.
