Does Google notice or care if I use the same images for multiple pages (with diff text)?

    Just wondering if let's say I had a site that was teaching people how to use a piece of software, but there were many ways a person could search for - so I targeted pages for several of those search terms (all of which have very low competition). I have about 10 screen shots that I would be using for the tutorials - and could very easily write similar but different instructions for each tutorial (completely write each one from scratch).

    I will have adsense on the sites eventually although they will be primarily CPA - would Google hit me for 'duplicate content' for using the screen shots on several pages like that even if the verbage was different?

    It wasn't that I didn't think the answer was out there, I just overestimated the difficulty in finding it (didn't know how to phrase the search).

    It was easier then I thought so I'll post the answer for others to see... just in case anyone else is looking. What I found also addresses duplicate verbage as well:

    I searched google for: "do images count for duplicate content"
    and found: http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2008/09/demystifying-duplicate-content-penalty.html

    an excerpt:
    So... although they may be 'clumped together' for search results - they really aren't being penalized... and in the case of images, if I use different text, then they can be used on each page and each page target the different keyword phrase...

    Guess it was easier to find than I thought it would be... :eek:
