I've noticed that all my keyword rankings for one site have been standing completely still for the last two days. This is somewhat unusual since there is almost ALWAYS some up/down in at least one of the six keywords I have for this site.

The site is still ranking, and it is still on the index, but I'm a bit suspicious of this. Is holding a site's rankings completely still something that Google does ever?

What do you think it means and if it IS a sign of something on Google's side what SHOULD I do in response to it?

    Thanks guys

Well, good news it finally showed some movement (up no less). But I'd still love to discuss what movement signs are possible sign of an angry Google. We all know unlistings, giant drops, and such are bad... but what else ought to signal something is up?

don't worry to much about day to day rankings, a freeze penalty doesn't make much sense anyways.

usually the penalties will be a fixed drop on some or all keywords of x amount of places, but even then, don't sweat it as it will usually wear off.

That will mean one of two thing, either you've been penalized or you are about to move up/ Build some authority links (edu/gov) right now and hope for the best.
