I've tried numerous times in the past to get some free web hosting and domains to show up on Google, Yahoo, etc. but it just doesn't seem to show up.

The free hosting I used was host-ed.net and I've tried both .co.cc and .tk domains, is there any suggestion on getting free hosting/domains to show up on Google/Yahoo or rank higher on Google/Yahoo?

    good question... anyone know?

i am thinking about trying free hosting first to see if i can even figure out how to get a site up and running with wordpress, i am not techy so i have been using blogger with godaddy .info domains with no luck so far. then if i can prove to myself i am capable of making sites that make some consistent money, do it right and pay for a better hosting company.

The domains will show up eventually.
There is a benefit for top level domains in a descending order (gov/edu->com/net->org/info->all the rest)

a co.cc domain will rank slower in search engines, but will rank.

If you're using free webhosting resources why not use 2.o properties? Think about it: wordpress.com for example has a pr of 9 and it will show up a lot quicker than a .co.cc and .tk domain.
