I have never sold anything on ebay before, But decided to take up reselling services/products. Just wondering, Does ebay transfer your money instantly to your paypal once a sale is made or do you have to withdraw and wait?

The transaction is between you and the other user (they pay the money directly to your paypal account). That said, with your account being new, your funds may get held temporarily by paypal.

Is there a high chance my funds will get held?

If you havent 60 to 90 days of selling on a paypal account it will get held either until they leave feedback or 21 days .

If you sell an item, and you don't send them the shipping details, ebay will hold your payments for 21 days, then they release it and it gets deposited in your account. Happens to me all the time :P

Ill give you the Direct Answer.

When Selling An Item On Ebay.

You Will Only ship this Product when they have sent funds Via paypal.

Paypal Will have ur funds but they will not be available.

it will sit in a Pending status.

3 ways to Release funds.

Provide tracking number is the #1 method ALWAYS PROVIDE One... When the item is Delivered. You are suppose to wait 3 days afterwards and

You Receive funds. Or When it says Delivered You can call paypal up and the can release funds for you.

2nd method

Funds are avaiable faster When they buyer Leaves feedback. you can call paypal and they will release your funds on that transaction..

3rd wait 21 days...

But Once you have a higher rating in sales like power seller funds are instant usually. No waiting because you have built trust with pp/ebay. Hope this answers your question and if you are looking to some side work PM me. wont be much $ but it's something while you sit at home, I will be posting a thread on here shortly.

AND if you get your shipping label at local P.O , make sure you enable online tracking by paying extra 0.50( approximately), so when it shows "delivered" online, ebay knows it too.

It's pretty instant, it all depends on the buyer. Most buyers pay right away if you use "buy it now"
