Logically I say just the URL but logic and experience can be very different. Good question!

just the url, has happened to me many times. You need to go really dark to get your entire site penalized.

Does Duplicate Content Penalty even exists? Even Google Official Blog posts clearly states that a site will not be penalized for duplicate content. But ofcourse, Google will try and show only one version of a content posted on multiple websites, and it may not always be yours.

yeah.. i agree with beazt.. in the worst case i think it will penaltize only the url.

There are no Google penalties for displaying duplicate content on your site. The only exception would be if you show it on more than one page of your site.

Google will not penalize all duplicate content as people are always pinching stuff from others sites however if you have multiple urls with the same content google will only rank one.

Thanks guys, because I copied some articles and posted on my forum just to keep the members busy and I hope it wouldn't ruin my whole websites SEO.
