i did some reaserch on it and it was an alright expired domain, can i just redirect it to my money site?

the rank already sucks on my money site so i dont care if it gets a penalty. can i just do a 301 redirect to get the link juice from the other backlinks on that site pointing to it?

Or should I put content on the page that is new from the old domain and just have links pointing to my money site?

Don't do it. The SERP will increase for a while but it will churn out very soon. Instead, redirect good expired domains to buffer sites you make and build links from that page to the money site.

You stated that you don't care if the site gets penalized so you can redirect it to your money site and spam thousands of links to the previously expired domain to juice it up some more. Your website WILL be penalized at some point though.

If you want to be safer you can use buffers as godspeed007 said. Redirect the previously expired domain to a website (with unique content) and then link from that site to the money site. Don't think this is 100% safe either but it is definitely safer than my first suggestion.

Actually after latest Penguin and Panda updates using expired domains to boost your main site's traffic became much less effective and it was discussed many times on many forums already.

Quality content is the SEO king, imho - and Zagard stated it in his signature already)

I'll go definitely as what godspeed007 suggest above. It is lot more safer indeed.

You can redirect it for the good raise instantly. But it will also affect your money site. why you wanna damage that too? You can redirect that good expired domains to some other blogs you have blogs So that you will get link juice from the expired domains and you can also maintain it further without damaging your money site by redirecting them directly to your money site.

301 from a sister domain zxc.com and zxc.net or maybe even zxc-1.com is natural looking. Random dropped domains is not as good.
