Does cloudflare make google struggle to index pages ?

No worries, Cloudflare won’t block Google bots as long as your settings are correct. It automatically whitelists verified search engine crawlers like Googlebot, Bingbot, and others. Just make sure you don’t set your firewall or bot-fight mode too strict and keep “Allow Verified Bots” enabled. Many sites use Cloudflare with Google indexing perfectly fine.

Here’s the deal: Cloudflare generally plays very nicely with Googlebot and other major crawlers. They maintain and automatically update an internal verified bot list (Googlebot, Bingbot, etc.), and by default, Cloudflare allows these bots through without challenge meaning no CAPTCHA, no JS challenge, no block as long as they come from Google’s official IP ranges.

Just be careful of setting cloudflare security to max level especially super bot flight mode can sometime cause to block crawlers. It's better to just whitelist the seo bots though.

Don't stress, cloudflare is totally safe and actually standard for most sites, so it won't hurt your indexing at all. Just make sure your firewall settings aren't set to block everything, and you'll be perfectly fine
