In the past month I think I changed my website at least 4 times trying to do SEO for 2 new keywords. I'm trying to figure out the perfect title and I finally found it. I just changed it yesterday and I noticed that my website that used to be 3rd is now 5th ranking on google for a particular keyword. It fell 2 rankings down already. Is it doing a dance because not all the page titles have been changed yet?

Should it climb back up after a week?

Any time you make changes like that google is going to re-rank you. You will have to wait and see where you end up but if it's not a major change then you'll probably bounce back. If you are targeting different keywords you might not unless you build more backlinks.

Just keep the keywords you want to rank for in your title. Maybe you will be out of the big G for a few weeks but you will be back.

as long as you have link weight coming in for the new title you should be ok

I see. I just checked today and my rank went up actually. It's not 5th anymore it's 2nd! I'm so happy, I hope it stays like that.

EDIT: Nevermind, I got all happy for nothing. It was google's web history thing that made the site go up, not the actual ranking...that sucks (still 5th)
