Does buying advertisements (e.g. banners) on sites work?

    Can anyone tell me if buying banner space on sites work for marketing stuff? and if so can you share what to do look for and what to do and not do? I am buying for the first time.:thinking:

    This is a semi-lolz thread.
    Yes buying banner space works - otherwise the advertisers would be filing for bankruptcy.

    If they work for your campaign depends on:
    1. How your banner looks like.
    2. What your niche is.
    3. How many people sees it.

    Try do a test-run. If the test-run of 100k impressions lead to something insane for clicks that then converts and you come out with some extra cash you can scale it.

    I just wanted to find out, if there is profit to be made? Because, why wouldnt the site owner put up banners..
