Hello Blackhatters,

I am new to this forum although I am not new to (whitehat) SEO.

Generally, it is said that Blackhat SEO leads to faster rankings
but it is of short life.
What is true and what a myth?

Thanks for your contribution.

In someways that is true. Being banned is normal when blackhatting but not all the time.

I can't speak for everyone here, but IMHO, blackhat is basically getting results with minimal effort or in a faster time frame with the same effort.

It depends what you do and how much you do it.

Moderation is key, a Balance it has to be.

If you're using really dodgy techniques, soon or later you'll get banned.
It's better to do black hat in throw away domains.
or you need to be careful and use what you learn here as inspiration for grey hat.

getting banned is part of the game. If you include it in your business plan, everything will work out just fine

Everything in moderation. Dont try to over do it and learn from your mistakes. :)

slow and steady wins the race. make an overall plan, dissect it, look for weaknesses. if you don't understand what you are doing then don't do it. the key is to really understand and then tweak.

ok, what I also wanted to know is if all the known blackhat techniques can also be done by yourself too just like it is possible with link building or onpage seo. or is this more an area of a programmer who is capable of cloaking and co.?
