    Well,

Fairly simple question. I'm looking into getting into some large scale old school cloaking and am wondering if the FREE TLDs such as .co.cc and .tk still work on BING?

I know Goog killed .co.cc a while back, and also tanked .tk too.

Before anyone completely bashes my plan. I just want to run a few large scale tests with some free domains before I invest too much.

    Thanks :D

Haha! My thought about doing something similar a while ago, but I didn't encourage him because it's just not worth the efforts.

Anyway, sorry man I don't really know what's happening with Bing & These websites.. But you can try to do that with Web2.0 ;)

I was able to find both .tk and .co.cc sites listed and ranking in Google and Bing.

Thanks for the response Wiz. I was looking into using Shadowmaker to cloak .tk or .co.cc domains on a large scale optimized for Bing. Not sure if that model would work with Web 2.0 since I need the "shadow" domains hosted on my server. But you do have me thinking ;)

I saw them too....but, unless Goog reversed their actions, they should be indexed, but not ranked. M. Cutts released a statement a while back saying they were banning .co.cc due to the large number of spam sites on them.

    Maybe this changed?

Bing sends almost no traffic to my tks/co.ccs. G has no love for them anymore either. Just sayin... YMMV.

That is what I thought. Obviously traffic can be slim in Bing anyway so mind me asking if your .tk/.cc.co domains are ranking?

    Thanks

I don't think it's ranking in Google, though sometimes, .co.cc just storm out of nowhere in google for a dey seconds and goes back to their base.

Yeah, I mean I know they are not gonna rank like a top level domain by any means....but I was just wondering if BING still ranks them at least as good as they used to. With this experiment I'm not as interested in top rankings with these as long as they are not burried into oblivion.

kboxer7, I'm sending you a list VIA PM that will answer your question. Suffice it to say, co.see see is just as it was before g00gal dropped the bomb. But you will see for yourself.

I don't think they'll rise in search engines again, because if they have been un-banned by google, The news would be all over the cyber world again, it might be a waste of time.but who knows?

This is the first time I am hearing this. I have a ton of co dot see sees and I've never had to submit them to g00gal for any approval.

Don't believe most of the stuff you read. Rely on your own testing, split testing and thorough studies. Or, use the test results from people you know who are on their "A" game. The fact is, co dot see sees did not lose their mojo.

Google de-indexed .co.cc domains a couple of months ago, then they were approving them. I didn't read the latest update that is saying they are indexed again (as of late December)

    Code:

There domain TDs are so abused, that few legit search engines accept them unforunetely.
