I was chatting with someone the other day and they told me they had a Line of credit with Yahoo and MSN for their adtertising. Does this sound right?

Has anyone herd of them extending Credit for you to run your ads????? If so how do you go about doing this?

    Cheers!

I haven't heard of this however I would be very careful if it is in fact a feature you can use. Definitely do not use it on campaigns that you are not very confident about not losing money on.

This is pretty common in the business once you get to the higher teirs. AdWords does it too. Instead of having to pay upfront or being billed frequently, you basically get something like Net 15 or Net 30 terms, where you get to advertise for a certain amount of days before you have to pay for your advertising. So you get to actually make profits before you pay. But generally the people who get those kinds of terms are in the $xx,xxx a month range. I haven't heard of Yahoo or Bing extending credit to beginning advertisers.

Yup, we have, chances are you have a rep on each network a while before you get credit and also be spending 50K+

Ditto - you have to be spending quite a bit. In my case I didn't think about asking for it. I had some issue with my bank and stopped my campaigns for a couple days (ouch). Then my Bing rep comes calling and saying "hey, we'll extend some credit. get going again". nice

Thanks, I ended up getting it figured out this week. They do indeed extend credit to your business. They had to run a credit check and they do a full review of your Ads to make sure its viable. It was actually really nice to have. In reality, they totally helped optimize my whole Ad Campaign and they are now doing a CPA campaign with me. I only pay them when I get paid!

    Worked out great!

Also, Google offers credit to advertisers as well.

For anyone else looking for this PM me I can help you out now that I have run through the ropes.

    Cheers!

If your doing big money with them for a long period of time or like a fortune 500 company they will extend credit.
