Does anyone do Mass Botting with Tumblr?

I know people do mass botting with Instagram with thousands of accounts doing follow/unfollow, but does anyone do this with Tumblr? Does it work the same way?

I have been doing a lot of research and it seems its much easier to do follow/unfollow with tumblr.

If you know anyone that does this, or you do it yourself, I'm curious how does this perform for you?
How many accounts do you have?
How do you monetize it?
How do you collect usernames?

People have been mass botting Tumblr for many years, yes. There are lots of bots out there for it. I used to do it years ago with adult tumblrs. The traffic was pretty good and trickled in for years. I used 20 accounts. Haven't tried recently or with mainstream traffic. I don't think it's as good as Instagram or even comparable these days. Tumblr is pretty "dead" compared to years ago.
 
I've been following-unfollowing for a year. Really really really slowly, I got from 20 followers to 500. I know that's not much but steady does it in my book. I'm using TumblrBot, purchased it over here. So far no problems, flying under the radar.

Is there anyone out there you know or heard of using thousands of accounts like this? or 50,000 accounts?
When you say "dead", what do you mean by that? It still gets a shitload of traffic according to Alexa?

whats the maximum people you are allowed to Follow before you have to start Unfollowing?
What if you manually by hand followed 200 people a day? would you still get banned?

Not sure, because I keep it low as possible. I follow maximum of 45 people per day, which varies daily to make it seem random. I have to raise that number to 60 per day, should be safe.

I am sure some people are using thousands, but I don't know them personally. Anytime you can automate something, someone will always use thousands of accounts. When I say "dead", the traffic has been declining for years as far as I know, and it isn't expected to get better. A lot of the traffic was from porn, and Tumblr just banned porn. So, you can't trust what Alexa shows, the true traffic ranking won't be known for a few more months.
 
I tried botting with tumblr, i had over 100+ accounts once unfortunately all got banned :( they were NSFW ones. Tumblr is crazy with Bans and their support is non existant. Don't waste your time with tumblr, choose IG over tumblr anyday!
