Are you making money online selling products, adwords or as an affiliate?

I'm still testing things but have set up a few sites now and invested lots of time in tools,& products, courses etc.

I've picked two very hard niches though which I think maybe one of the reasons I'm failing so bad, since the start of 2012 I've spent around $2000/$3000 and made back $0 so far. Anyone showing success? anyone in the same boat as me.

I work full-time, and have a wife too, so probably only spend around 3 hours a day working on this.

    Outgoings.
    Domains
    Hosting
    VPS
    Fiverr Gigs
    Articles
    WP Pluggin Tools
    WP Designs
    TweetAdder
    Ulitmate Niche Finder
    The Best Spinner
    GSA Search Engine
    CSA Email Spider
    HMA Hide My
    The Spin Wizzard
    CaptchaInfinity
    gsa indexer
    + a few more tools/courses which sucked!

Perhaps I'm wasting my time with all this at the moment Id make more money working another part-time job for minimum wage :)
    6 months 3 hours a day 5 days a week at $6 an hour = $2340 instead of minus $3000.

It is really important that you view your website(s) through the eyes of the visiter. Would you buy something on your website?

Maybe you lack experience and knowledge to achieve success. You may have the tools, but do you have the proper knowledge to use them the right way?

Maybe you made a wrong analysis of the niche. Research is one of the most important things here.

Does your site rank well, do you have traffic, is it your conversion that suck, do you use the right monetization method. ?

You have to analyze first what is the problem and then try to solve it.

I feel your pain but if you are thinking of packing up I'll buy your software !!!

What niches did you pick ? Are they too hard to break like insurance/ weight loss / forex ?

When I started off I build a travel site that targeted half of a large country..looking back to say I was naive would be an understatement....when I sobered up I decided to focus on one tiny town and built that site then the town down the road. With that project I know have a series of micro niche sites that are now a network and in time I hope will become an authority. I have several other projects all of them bringing very small returns but enough to keep me motivated. My real results are in building sites related to my profession that have driven customers to me and that's were I have really banked in IM. So to answer your question yes if I was just trying to collect adsense and the odd amazon payout I would have been way better off doing the night shift at KFC and considering the time invested the returns are not good. But I think if you take a break and re examine your sites and niches you might find a new way of looking at it.
