does anybody have success for affiliate marketing on instagram???

Hey guys started an instagram page and followers count is growing very slowly around 2 per day so will sort out hashtags in coming time.
Recently promoted a post in instagram trying to increase my followers by advertising my post on ig.Almost 300 people reached but none of them clicked through to visit my profile.Do you think was my targeting wrong or instagram engagement is low.
I wanted to do affiliate marketing in instagram but would want to know do users on instagram have good engagement with links outside the app??
Has anybody had success with ig in affiliate marketing??

Of course, people usually send traffic from reddit / twitter direct to their Instagrams page. Reddit can generate massive amounts of new followers if you do it as you should do it

Thanks a lot I actually missed reddit cauz it is sometimes strict community cauz I was banned from one of community for asking a question but then gave up.Thanks a lot will see to it..
