I recently transferred my domain to GD in price of $0.99, and they transferred and renewed it for two years.

Domain was registered with Tucows (through GYBO).

I was wondering if any one of you had the same experience.

Is this flaw in GD or it is normal, have anyone of you experience the same?

When you transfer a domain usually the new registrar extends it with 1 year. If your domain was for example until 10th Dec 2014 at Tucows, when you transfer it at GD it will become 10th Dec 2015

So, what was your expiry date before the transfer?

My expiry date was 08-dec-2013 and now it is 08-dec-2015.

    well, thats definitely not normal..

Either it is some kind of glitch or check GD's website for some limited time promo on transfers they might be giving.. they always have some crazy offers running :)

They might be, but i used promo "99luv" for domain transfer.

I can't believe this, but that happened.
