    Hello,

I try to avoid keywords stuffing, and I've thought keywords inserted in the alt attributes might be a not so obvious way to increase the kw density.

What do you think? Can alt attributes increase the kw density for a page? Many tools don't take the alt attributes into account when assessing the kw density for a certain page, and that is is puzzling me a lot.

    Thank you very much

Alt attributes doesn't get counts in Keyword density for a page.
Keyword density depends on the content based on the site

I don't think keywords in the alt tag would add up to the keyword density. But don't overdo it and fill the keywords everywhere. Use the alt-tag to give the user what he/she needs to know if the image doesn't load up. Try to keep it natural.

As far as I know, NO, they don't count towards keyword density. Google bot is smart enough to parse html codes and alt tag is just a means to tell the visitor what the image is about if in case it doesn't load up. They do help with image search ranking in Google though.

No, it will not consider in keyword density. It helps search engines and users to understand your images and also provides additional information to search engine to understand the content of the page. It is advisable that naming of the images should be proper to get better search engine ranking. The alt tag parameter will be considered for image searches also.

You may install Yoast for your Worpdress install so you may check what counts and what not. ALT tags don't count!
