Does AC still like craft type articles?

AC used to love craft articles that told you how to make stuff (like how to knit something or make something with cork or something). Do they still offer upfronts for these types of articles or are they pretty much dead now?

If the articles are unique to what else is already published on AC, yes. With craft articles the more evergreen the content is the better it will perform for upfronts. I have a lot better results from craft articles that aren't specific to certain holidays like Thanksgiving, Halloween etc.

Thanks for that. I had tried some holiday specific ones not so long ago and they didn't do well at all, so that explains a lot.

Holiday specific craft pieces can be great for a quick burst of views but the other problem besides not being evergreen is that everyone hits AC hard with them on approach to the holidays. I've done a number of them in the past and they're consistently some of the weakest for total page views.
