Doe TubeToolbox still work? (or any kind of followback or private messaging)

I read tons of testimonials before buying it, but after using it to sub to others with a HQ vid in the same genre as my featured vid, I have near zero followback. I did the same thing with twitter, and the followback is HUGE.

I'm thinking YT changed something since all those testimonials were written. Do any of those techniques still work? Is there any point in sending private messages to people or sending them your vids? Do they ever see those messages? Does followback of some kind still work on YT?

I used it about 6 month ago to get 300 subs, it doesnt sound much but it was in a tiny tiny micro niche and made a profit. You have to realise although people check YouTube each day they may not login where as people login to twitter a few times each day.

Also I still notice comments and subs on that channel saying thats for the share, thanks for the comment and various other stuff 6 month later.

Not at all 300 real targeted subs is a big deal. I'll take that over half a million fake views.

I got something like 10 total with 2k subbed out, so clearly I'm doing something wrong. It's not because they didn't like the video... none of them watched it, which is what leads me to believe they're not getting any sort of message.

So I only did the subs part. I'm very hesitant to send private messages as I absolutely can not have this channel banned for spamming. What techniques worked best for you?

Ah mate, I just checked my account and its actually TubeAssist I used not tubetoolbox. Maybe try them out?

If I remember rightly when you set up your projects in Tubeassist it gives you a warning when you go over their recomended dailey limit and if it will actually prevent you setting it too high as to risk your account giving you a warning explaining what you should set it as.

I think I had subs, comments, shares and inboxes turned on for it with no problems at all. I received an email a few weeks back from them saying they have a new Google+ feature but I have no experience with it.

haha... I made same mistake. Yeah it's tube assist I have since mac. Yeah, assist is basically stripped WAY down and with settings much lower so you can't go over limits. TT is potentially much more powerful, but easy to get into trouble with.

Hmm... ok, will take another look (I just got renewal notice today from paypal, so trying to see if it's worth taking another crack at.

Well, anyone using TT or Tube Assist (cloud version from same company that works on macs too), please chime in with any settings, experiences, etc. I've read a bit here and thre that messaging and such doesn't work the same anymore, but not clear on details. Being VERY cautions about any spammy activity on this acct and it's associated G+.

Can you not set up a dummy YouTube account with similar videos and let it run on that account to test it?

Yeah, I guess. It's a relatively time consuming process though, and I'm looking to launch in 2 weeks.

I've got these sort of tools working great on twitter right now, and hoping to use the next two weeks to get IG up as well as website issues, mailchimp, FB etc... so just trying not to waste a lot of time on any one part of the project

G+ messaging is key, which is why TTB became redundant. If it now has a G+ feature, make sure the messages you send comes in the form of that red notification balloon.

I haven't tried G+ Dominator by Indian Bill but this I think can scrape YouTube commenters on a video and then you can message them via G+. Sounds good. If you try either of them let us know how it goes.

I'd be very interested in.... hearing from someone else who's doing that so I can avoid being banned for spamming... haha.

Actually, I don't mind setting up dummy acct for this purpose just to test, but want to be very careful as G seems to be better at sniffing out bs proxy workarounds, etc... and don't want to jeopardize my main channel.

Seems I answered your question somewhere else before...
Yes, the Mass Private Messages are still working and very effective. But it's very expensive because you have to create lots of accounts for each campaign. We use it for our own product, services and provide as a service.

I've been using Mass Follower and its a very good program. I'm not sure if it'll help you, but if I were you I would look into it.
