What is the best way to document the rise in serps for a customer,
at least to show them Im actually doing something.

I meant what method if effective to show customers that serps have risen and progress made

Try rank tracker.. it's a great tool, which can pull out data spread over weeks or months. And the best thing is that it is a free tool, but very powerful. Use a few proxies though.
