    Hi,

I was at the doctors office on Monday reason being some strange acne like thing that appeared on my right leg 2 weeks ago.
It's like acne but within the skin, it doesn't grow much but it's big as a bean.

I'm going to do some ultra thingy test on wednesday to see if it really is cancer.

Doctor said it's either just some fat that is stuck there and needs to be removed OR it's cancer.

So here I am going uhuh' LOL

I'm only 28, I got a 9 month old baby son, I am in med school....
As for the gene's my mom died of breast cancer.

    So it's over huh?
Anyone had similar exprience do to small changes within the skin?

    :44:

I'm kinda confused, just feels odd that you can get cancer when you're 28.
It's not 100% certain yet, but I'm paranoid so I tend to believe it is cancer.

You can get cancer at any age.

My personal opinion is that worrying won't help you out right now. Negative stress is only ever... well, negative, and you can't change your fate by panicking and making posts like this. You'll find out later on, but for now, try to focus on whatever you'd focus on if it weren't for the bad news.

You also have to consider the fact that you're lucky to have made it to 28 and be wealthy enough to attend med school and to have a child and everything else. :) And if it does end up being cancer, money can buy effective treatment nowadays.

Good luck to you and I hope that you end up healthy!

Gutted, that sucks. Keep your head up though, you don't know what it is until you get it tested, and if you've caught it early you can just cut it out and you'll be right as rain. It could be anything - quite possibly a completely harmless cyst etc. Good luck man!

easy for me to say....but dont worry until you need to worry...Dealt with a ton of cancer issues with family, have spent probably a full year in hospitals with them....Not fun. However, it could really be anything...maybe a spider bite, had that happen once? Keep your chin up, get it tested...One thing about medical news...No news is good news. If it is cancer you will know right away, then take it as it comes, health first.

Better get checked man, go to the doctor ASAP.

All cancers have one thing in common:
The faster the diagnosis and treatment the higher chance of survival!

Scares like you're going through now really put life in perspective... makes all of this "my website fell off of the first page" stuff look a little less important.

I've not had the experience you're going through but wanted to offer some words of encouragement to you! Hopefully it turns out to be something minor and this incident will barely be remembered as a "blip" on the radar... if it does happen to be cancer the good news is that it seems you caught it pretty early and just about every form of cancer seems to be very treatable now a days.

I'm having a bad "IM" day today and when I read this it helped me put things into perspective myself. Let's hope you hear only good news... I'm betting things will turn out well. All the Best!

I have had something similar on my shoulder as long as I can remember. Had a couple tests on it and nothing to worry about. Dont stress yourself out so soon. Stay positive, all the best to you.

One of my favorite quotes in life comes from the movie Anastasia, spoken by the bat named "Bartok":

Bartok: You know, you really should watch your blood pressure. My nephew Izzy just keeled over mid-mango. Stress, it's a killer, sir. And he was a fruit bat. No meat. No blood even.

    Nope!

Let me know how it goes in case I need to send some out in the future. :)

you probably know better than me that there are many cancers, some not so serious as others. cyst's and dozens of other things that may appear to be cancerous most often end up benign. i would not worry about it too much. i had some stuff tested for the same reason - benign. im sure yours is the same.

Dude - first thing... don't project into the future... I had a cancer scare in 1996 or so... about a year after my younger brother died of cancer.

I know it is hard to not stress about it but to maintain sanity you need to focus on the positive here.

An X-Ray showed something in my thigh bone.

Turned out that I had broken that bone and didn't realize it.

    It could be absolutely nothing.

Mine was nothing and hopefully yours is as well.

Hi man wait for the medical reports before concluding anything.I am sort of a medical guy :) cancers of all types can be cured if detected at an early stage.Be it blood cancer or breast cancer.

Read this quote from wikipedia which validates my point

My best wishes with you man!

Hey stay in good hope man. I had the same type of lump but on my face under my left eye when I was about 13 (3 years ago), when I had surgery and they removed it they found out that it was just a benign tumor. Hang in there.
