Over the past three weeks I've created about five videos for various local terms. I've targeted keyword with as little competition as I can find (no exact-match other than Yelp) and a minimum search volume of "10-100". They keyword usually look like "keyword [suburb] [state]" I've done a livestream for all of these videos and bought some popular embed/social services for $5 or $10 on Source Market. Although these videos end up on the second page after the initial livestream, the embeds and social signals simply do not seem to make any difference. I've got zero improvement in rankings for these videos from their original positions on the second page, and on some occasions the rankings have actually gone down. The videos act like the embeds/signals don't exist at all. This leads me to think that Google doesn't like to rank videos for local terms, and I'm better off using an exact-match domain and PBN links. Can someone chip in with their experience?
