The thing is, what we do might not be conventional but I really want to turn it into a business (So many have already done it) and to have my own sites on which I can pick up funding in the future and expand basically move out from niche sites zone.

I still have a lot to learn even though the past one year I have made good progress. I think for me to have a place to go and work and be in the mindset of working will be great and meeting with like minded people is always a good opportunity. It gets kinda depressing being at home 24x7 and not having anyone to discuss ideas with.

What are your thoughts on a co-working space? Have you ever worked at one? What was your experience like?

P.S Where I stay getting my own office will be very expensive.

If there was one in my town I would totally do that.

They do look kind of awesome, I think they are ideal spaces for freelancers and people who do what we do.

Yeah, I understand. I work from home and know only 2 people in the whole country who does what I do and we never talk. It would be awesome if I could talk to someone, exchange ideas, work on something together... but I refuse to do so because now, years have passed and I'm comfortable working on my own, taking care of everything personally, not talking about my work with anyone. I have forum for that and it's good replacement. Now, if you wanna sell SEO services or whatever, you plan on going large, yes, you should make something like that, hire some people, work from a same place. It's so much easier to organise that way. I just accepted the fact that I don't talk about my work with anyone. And I also like my privacy, but it would be cool to try to work there to see how that goes. I wonder if I would work more or less with more people around.

Yes, I have been looking at some online in my area and they are cheap and look way more fun than my house. I like going out and working and meeting people. BTW if there isn't one maybe start one in your town?

This is exactly what I don't want happened with me. Lately I am becoming more and more aloof, developing social anxiety and just being stressful all the time and for some weird reason I am starting to enjoy it. One major problem is it's almost like I have forgotten how to talk to people. To be honest I don't think I want to lose that skill. Work is good, but I need a social life. Get me?

Yes. I have social anxiety and panic attacks when I have to leave home. Currently taking pills to calm my nerves so yes, I understand what you try to accomplish and you should do that. Don't end up like me. I never go out or do anything fun. :(

If you are being serious bro, get well soon man. I guess this is the dark side of our work. I have had my fight with depression and I hope it doesn't happen with anyone. I still feel symptoms of it from time to time. Get well soon bro.

Yeah, I'm serious. My psychiatrist diagnosed me with those about a year ago, maybe a bit more. Now I moved to another city where the health care is a lot better so I'll try to work on this here. I also fought depression for more than a year, those were some dark fucking times, I can tell you that much. Man, the more we talk about this, the more your idea sounds better. And yes, I guess that really a dark side of our work. Thanks for the wishes. :)

Not always, but ever since I started working from home, never got out, only on rare occasions I went out, not really going and doing stuff with friends. This shit gets you. It's getting worse and worse by day, but taking some pills so it gets easier. I'm not seeing anyone currently, but I did and my psychiatrist only gave me pills and that's not the solution. Currently I am taking pills but I hope not for long. I'm going to find a psychologist here in a new town and try to talk shit out. Parents divorcing last year, losing a dog... maybe that's all connected, but fuck it. I'm here where I am and I looking for a solution. I've been battling this for over 2 years now and only the pills got me some results. We'll see soon what psychologist has to say to me. It's important to keep your hopes up if you're in a place like this. If I don't, I'll get depressed and depression is not what I need. That would devastate me! But life can be good and I'm hoping for better days! :)

I was in the same boat my parents divorced, had a huge break up, lost my house and went bankrupt. All of this when I was in my final year of college. So just imagine. I haven't dated anyone ever since, I am becoming aloof. Just don't give in and let it get the better of you.

It really is, we are social creatures we need to interact and surround ourselves with people. Its just our human nature. Please don't think twice about doing it, just sign up and do it. Atleast try it, force yourself. I always find psychological issues to be so bad, paid you can treat with medicine but when something goes wrong in your head its a huge battle on its own. Fight it brother. And if you ever want to talk on skype let me know. Best of luck.

P.S One of the bad things that is happening is I have so many thoughts that I can't share with anyone that will typing I skip on words because so much is running through my mind.

Yeah, sorry to hear that. You should start going out then, don't become like me haha

Thank you fellas for your offers. Now you have it, don't end up like me, socialize and if you can, go work a few times with a co-working space to make friends, see people and be active.

I have been looking at co-working space myself. I have a few options in my area. I have visited a few and I really like the concept. Try it out and see if you like it. The majority of them offer day passes to see if it's for you. Another thing I have been doing is going to local libraries. I live in a nice area in South Florida, so the libraries are really nice. One has a cafe and super fast wifi. It's nice to get out of the home office sometimes!
