Is it allowed in your office or you have to dress formal ? Do you think comfortable dresses like t-shirts increase productivity ?

smart casual (shirt, blazer, jeans), then if its a holiday or im visiting site I wear a hoodie and jogger.
HR understood why. I kinda ruined a couple of 3-piece and an expensive 'thoub' (traditional attire).

new companies don't do uniforms but they kinda do when your orientation kit or employee pack contains polo t-shirts and hoodies with their logos. And honestly I prefer them, less headache in the morning trying to figure out what to wear (even when your wardrobe is only black/grey like me).

Same thinking as Mark Zuckerberg.

Office ? I bet most of us here at BHW do not work in or from an office, but rather from home.
Oh, "home office" ??? Even if we call that a "home office", we are still working from home. Yes, there would be a few BHW members that do have an office with staff, but I'm sure they would not be bothered about office dress code, and would be only bothered about productivity and results.

We all know about "home office", like we all freelancers work from our homes sitting on an office type chair having an office type table, etc .... "home office", correct ?
Now, the trend especially for startups is to make their office as an "office home", which means their staff will be at the company's office working, but the environment would be like a home (wear informals, bring your pet, use some "F" words once a while, make your own coffee, make your own sandwich, etc).
Yeah, things are changing, we need to get used to the new normals and a lot of new normals do make a lot of sense. I remember when the internet was at it's nascency stage, it's usage was considered as a new normal, now internet usage is just a normal thing.

I work from home, but when I used to work in an office, I'd never wear a t-shirt unless there was a company event happening.

I'm at home working naked

Yeah at my office also naked. Its requirement in my office only naked people allowed. This is why i work alone, no one wants to work naked.

But rules are rules, i cant just change the rules. I dont make the rules. I just think them up and write them down.

Sometimes I do.
We allow it for the employees.
Management, we do hope they dress a bit better.
Although we tend to have fun with it, we have PJ days too on some months ;)

I don't work in an office, but when i did, i wore both shirts and t-shirts.

Dressing is going from formal to informal more and more. It's an ongoing process for quite a while now. It's less and less expected to wear formal clothing in settings, where it was an expectation before. The whole pandemic situation speeded this up too.

Ummmm.. okay, that's good.

Ummmm... we only hire women here. There is a body weight and facial features requirement. And a few others we don't publicly disclose, they have to be discussed in private.

So if you fulfil the criteria I've outlined above, we can discuss further... :D
