    Hey guys,

I'd like to use MassPlanner to DM all of my new followers of a coupon code. Do you think I could perhaps get banned for mass DMing people? Also do you know any limitation of DMs?

You can get banned for hours-days from DMing again but I doubt you get your account banned

i don't think you can get banned from mass-DMing, but there might be a limit which you will hit. Another thing is you have to give long delays in DMing because i once tried it and the delay was like 6 seconds, therefore my account could only send 8-10 DMs and other got failed.

I did something similar to what you're talking about.

Started off manual (to warm up things, test limits and see how users responded) and then automated on FL. Here are my manual takeaways. I would frequently hit an hourly block after 15 DM/hr. The block just tells you it can't send the message. All other actions on IG fine. I'd chill and then start another batch of 15 an hour or so later. The hourly DM limit number does increase as you age the account with sending DM, but it increases slowly. For safety sake, I just stuck to 15.

As for warming up. I started off at roughly 40 a day and worked my way up to 80 a day. I wouldn't really advise passing that number. There are a few threads on DM limits. Opinion is scattered all over the place on daily limits. When I went to DM automation, I only did 50 a day max.

In my experience, IG isn't too strict on this type of activity. Outisde of the hourly limitation, never encountered anything else. I think the bigger worry is if a User reports your DM. If you get too many reports that you're spammy, a manual review will be triggered and then you could be in more danger of a block/ban. I would focus more on the value/messaging copy versus the limits.

I am pretty sure, that you can send DMs but pushing the boundaries too heavily might result in a temporal ban. Not sure about perma ban though, but I really wouldnt wanna test it with my actual accounts.
