Do you think the exact same article ranks better on a Blog or Forum?

The title says it almost.

What do you think: if you have a forum with TF 58 and a Blog with TF 46 and you have a medium long tail keyword you want to rank, where do you think you get the best result.

Both the blog and the forum is in the same niche?

Depends upon authority of site and authority of page.

Forum will convert better (my personal experience)

Blogs are a better bet as they have certain promotional advantages that the forums do not have

It's not all about the trust flow (Google doesn't even use it). My giess is that of the blog has more authority in Google and is ranking for more phrases, a post published on it would rank better than one published on the forum and vice versa.
