Do you think students/people will buy chapters of a book via email in maybe like a .pdf file?

I know some professors only ask for some work out of textbooks and if I could provide whatever pages/chapters they needed I could.

Just wondering if you think there's a market for that...

lol are you kidding?Ofc is profitable!!!

You do realize there are sites already doing this, you should jump into this before it becomes more saturated.

Heck i even purchased some chapters years ago when i was going to college and i didnt have enough money for the whole book but needed to do hw so i bought a few chapters online.

i just download textbooks from the net, or a torrent. so anyone that knows where to find them isn't going to buy them.

but a lot of people don't know where to find them either, so those are the ones that'll buy it.

Very profitable idea if your marketing and writing is on point. I suggest grabbing some marketing info by Joe Vitale.
He's a wiz when it comes to that stuff. Webinars are online written seminars in chapters that can bring in the big bucks when pitched right. Go for it.

It is both profitable and Illegal.

You are distributing other people's copyrighted products and asking to get paid for it.

    I agree with Georgebg...

Don't risk selling copyrighted content. Book companies tend to be large and have deep lawyer-pockets, and they are ALL-OVER IPR/Copyright theft.

An apology after the fact just won't cut it either, I'm afraid.

    Don't risk it.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I totally forgot about copyright laws. What if I had a partner that worked in say a place where copyright laws arent enforced?

Maybe someone else has an idea on how you can exploit having access to millions of books
