Just wondering whether you guys think Trump is buying upvotes on reddit. I see way to much of the donald supporters on reddit, it used to be I saw a lot of Bernie supporters, now I see more of Donald stuff than I do of the Bernie. I'm not even from the US, but I was just wondering whether you think he's buying upvotes?

Doesn't that lend more to what Bahmer said? If /r/politics has more Bernie than Trump x4, then the rest of the more visited subs being skewed in Trump's favour gives credence to this.

I think the sad truth is that he genuinely has supporters.
I doubt they even need to buy votes.

I was talking more specifically about /r/all. Go check out all, so much of it is the DT subreddit... I would almost prefer if he was buying upvotes.

Well, would be way more better if he spends his millions on buying upvotes for reddit and has no real supporters. In this way he would support some online entrepeneurs and wouldn't be so dangerous.

    No.

From what I recall, 4Chainz took over The_Donald, and everything was a parody. Then serious voters turned up and transformed it.

Trump doesn't need to buy upvotes. He's ahead by far enough that the opinions of a bunch of SJW neckbeard genderfluid basement-enthusiasts doesn't matter.

Unless Trump goes into the Republican convention with 50%+1 delegates (1237, and he's not on pace to get there with 1237, more like 1100-1150 or so) they don't have to give him the nomination. After the first votes the delegates are free to vote for anyone else, and not all delegate slate filled out by Trump are 100% Trump loyalists. So it serves his purpose to make it seem like he has more popular support than he really has.

Yes he is buying them, he asked me to do it in exchange for one of his towers.

Did Clinton paid you to open a thread in BHW to gain some black hat supporters

Then you should probably move to North Korea , Saudi Arabia or anyother non democratic country . Their leaders also hate politics too.

democracy is all about getting a best leader for a period of time. If these opposition don't fight then how will we determine the best leader for our country. Enjoy these fight and choose wisely :)

No, people are dumb enough to vote for him and they're definitely dumb enough to upvote him on Reddit.

If Trump is worth $10,000,000,000 then the $25,000,000 he spent so far is petty chump change. He spent 6.9 million in February. But interestingly enough he's not "self funding" everything. At least $9,000,000 came from supporters.

What's interesting about Trump is how wisely he's using his money. The majority goes towards paid media buys. If you buy the media then use it to properly execute... by speaking on a 4th grade reading level and using fear inducing NLP anchors at the end of every sentence... you can gain a lot of attention. In doing that, he's already bought his reddit, twitter, facebook, etc followers through the news.

And when I say "wisely" spending his money, I mean that 1) Trump understands the value of his celeb status and 2) he knows how to cut through the noise.

During the early contests in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina... he spent $9.5m.
During Feb like I said, he spent $6.9m.
But during Feb Cruz spent $17.5m.

Cruz is quickly depleting his cash reserves with only 465 delegates while Trump has 739.

From an economic standpoint Cruz has spent himself off the rails. He raised $54m and has already spent 88% of what he raised. Leaving him with around $8m left.
Clinton raised the most of anyone (moneypacs), at $130m which is 14xs what Trump raised as Trump disavowed 98% his moneypacs.

If you look at Obama & Romney, they each spend around $1,000,000,000 at the end of their campaigns.

It's just hilarious how many people say "Trump bought his way into this election" when Trump has spent less than Hilary, Cruz, Sanders, Rubio & Carson.

That's why people keep saying he's rewritten the rules. It's an unprecedented type of campaign. He's squeezing and milking the shit out of every dollar he spends.
And right now, nobody has any gdamn clue wtf is going on.

Theoretically you'd expect he'd have to pay over $1,000,000,000 or 10% what he's worth by the end of his campaign. But will he? I don't know. I doubt anyone knows.
What I know so far is he's spent his money very efficiently. And out of all the candidates Trump is the only one I've met in person. About 20 years ago that was. I liked him back then as a little kid before politics and politics aside now I still like him.

I'm not trying to get political as I can't legally vote for anyone and my real opinion would just inflame a bunch of hothead idiots. But if he wins this race mostly on name recognition I'm gonna laugh my fuckn ass off.

Lol. Are you serious? How many centuries more do they need to lie to you until you realize it is all a big joke, and you do not have any choice at all. The outcome is predetermined and it would not make any difference who would win, especially not with just two options. So please wake up and help your country to stop enforcing its imperialistic "ideals" upon other, sovereign independent nations and peoples.
Democracy can't work in a system where a few hold the power over the opinions of the masses. By definition democracy is not made for big countries, only for little systems like cities (the smallest possible unit). Democracy in a system as big as the USA will most certainly always end up in tyranny or any other form that is disadvantageous for its people.

Do you want to keep your vote, your voice, your opinion, or do you want to put it into a pot where it will lay around doing nothing, being without value, for the next years and therefore losing it, to support a dying system? I rather keep my voice and my vote as a symbol of non-acceptance and compliance with the system, because in the end if you're going to vote, you are supporting the system and agreeing with the outcome of the vote. If enough people would not vote the system would have no legal justification and the outcome of elections would be invalid.

you know that the same people donate to both your "options" a big part of their campaign budget? So whoever wins, they own them...

And btw, even non-democratic nations have politics. Please read up about what Politics mean.

And topic in general... the effects of successful (mass) Media manipulation, all should ask themselves what is the big picture here, the plan for the long-run?
Do you guys think he really wants to have war with your southern neighbor? How do US-people think about that in general? How is the general mood there in the cities?

    Regards

Reasons like this, is why Politics is also banned in BHW.

I would say Donald Trump is controversial and there would be an argument.
I would say Bernie is not controversial and there would also be an argument.
