    Hi everyone,

I opened this thread because lots of people in my country have been talking that in their opinion, blackberry would surely go bankrupt in a couple of years, as because, Indonesia has been a target market for them, and its only Indonesia. And in other countries, there aren't much people using blackberry as Apple and Samsung dominated their market.

Well i don't think Blackberry would go bankrupt though..

So what do you guys think?

It will probably take more than a couple years, but I really think they are on the decline and will continue to do so until they are gone.

Their new phone coming out looks like it has potential. Not sure if this is true or not, but I believe it has the ability to run Android apps which is pretty huge, but not sure if that will be a well known feature to people.

I think they'll fail again. Once you got out it's hard to come back in.

Playbook was a huge fail and if BB10 fails I'm sure it's over for them

I agree. They have failed hardly, and they are most likely on a decline based on what we currently see. It all depends on BB10 as mentioned, but even that, I don't think BB10 alone will be able to put them back where there were.

Blackberry has failed to compete in the tablet market but I think they do still have potential in the smartphone market. Their main selling point is security which the iphone does not have. They are also diversifying into other fields.

Well, I'm from Indonesia, and some of my friends thought that maybe Blackberry could relocate to Indonesia to dominate the Indonesian phone market more :p

Blackberry won't fail. Just because teenage girls aren't using them any more (which they are.. just not as much) doesn't mean businessmen and women aren't. Every police officer in the UK uses one too.

Blackberrys are business phones and great ones at that. They won't ever beat Apple or Samsung in the smartphone war, but they still dominate the business phone market.

I think they need to come out with a new line of phones and make sure more apps are
developed for their market. They need to expand there app world or its all over...
