I use a chrome extension that does that whenever checking out.

I always use coupons for udemy courses, but I don't much bother with using them for other sites, unless I find an obvious one really, as searching for real coupon codes, is just searching through probably half the members here spam sites! Full of out of date coupons!

On many platforms, when you are logged in, add product to cart, proceed to checkout, but enter your card details incorrectly, example if the last number of your card is 3 then enter that as 4 and let the payment hence fail or get rejected and then relax : within 2 days, you will get an email with a promo code or discount code. The abandoned cart triggers their algorithms to get you to buy.
Not all platforms have promo codes, discount codes sent out triggered this way, but many do. And this method is NOT illegitimate. You are simply entering YOUR card details incorrectly on a purchase attempt.

I know the value of the money since i work hard for each penny i make and i am not bother to spend five minutes searching for a coupon to give the best value.
